The short version

I'm Duncan. I live in Lausanne, Switzerland with my wife and two daughters. I've spent the last fifteen years building and running businesses, mostly in areas where I saw something that could be done better.

A few years ago I went independent. The reason was simple: I wanted more time with my family and more time in the mountains. I didn't want to scale a team to fifty people. I wanted to build things that worked without needing me in every meeting.

AI changed the equation. Not in the way most people talk about it. I don't think AI replaces good people or good judgment. But it lets a small team move like a much bigger one. It handles the repetitive stuff so you can focus on the decisions that actually matter.

Now I do two things. I build my own businesses using AI as a lever. And through AlpinEdge, I help other companies figure out where AI genuinely helps and get it running properly. Private deployments, on-premise when needed, no hype.

When I'm not working, I'm climbing, sailing, foiling, or somewhere in the Alps with my girls. That's the whole point.
