The team trained at Mauvoisin during winter conditions. Following significant snowfall and a period of stable warm weather, ice climbing conditions were excellent in the area above Verbier. Good quality ice running down large features with loads of routes at most grades.

We tested two different DMM ice climbing tools: the Rebel and the Apex. The difference was significant, with really secure placements, a good aggressive angle and well weighted. Looking forward to trying the DMM Switch, very similar in design to the Nomic.
